2017 Fall meeting of the APS Prairie Section

November 11-12, 2017

The Prairie Section of the American Physical Society will be holding its Fall 2017 meeting in Chicago hosted at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

This meeting is typically geared to undergraduate and graduate student research in all areas of physics.

The meeting will start on Saturday noon, November 11 and will end by early afternoon on Sunday, November 12. This will allow participants several options for travel to, and staying at, the exciting city of Chicago.

Participants who wish to travel to Chicago on Friday evening can choose to stay two nights in Chicago with there still being time for some exploration on Saturday morning before the meeting starts. The timing will also allow for people living within a 4-5 hour driving distance to attend the full conference and only have to stay one night in Chicago by driving up on Saturday morning before the meeting starts and back on Sunday afternoon.

Pre-registration at the APS site is now closed. However please do not worry as you will be able to register in person at the meeting since the APS will provide us with a direct link that you can use once you get to UIC.

If you do plan to come and have not registered, it will be helpful if you could ping us (hofman@uic.edu) a quick email as soon as possible so we can include you in the count for the food.
